Assembly Church Collage

Our Vision

To be the church that prepares God’s people towards spiritual maturity, going into the end times by harvesting souls through the conquering of cities.

Our Mission

  • To prepare all congregation into maturity through a strong and deep discipleship in every possible languages.
  • To build a solid foundational teaching to overcome end times world view in each generation.
  • To provide a place for community where they can find help and reliefs in the city, state, nation and the world and connect them to Jesus.

Our Belief

In Assembly Church, we believe:
  • That the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.
  • In one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
  • That sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
  • That in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
  • That in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues which is the initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit.
  • That God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
  • That God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.
  • That our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • That the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

Our Word of Faith

Jesus is the centre of my life;
I believe I am blessed to be a blessing;
His grace and love has saved me from sin and death;
By His Word, I will grow in maturity every day and be fruitful in Jesus;
I will have victory over my temptations because God is the source of my strength;
My life will succeed and no curse may fall upon me;
As for me and my family, we will serve and worship the Lord with our life;
All honour and all Glory belongs to Him;
Hallelujah!

Our History

Back in 1989, a Christian fellowship (namely Bethesda) was started in Mascot led by Peter Woskan. Then, on 11 March 1990, after a meeting at Petersham Assembly of God, the Indonesian Christian Fellowship Centre was established under Petersham Assembly of God as one of the ethnic Church services. At that time, the leadership was held by Ps. Yopie Mantiri and Sian Surya Atmadja. As time goes by, on 25 August 1991, Ps. Tony Hallow, the Senior Pastor of Petersham Assembly Of God, appointed Ps. Herman Muljadi as a Pastor for the Indonesian Christian Fellowship Centre. In Ps. Herman’s leadership, the number of the congregation grew rapidly which required them to relocate the church a few times from Townhall to Petersham, then to Marrickville and Sydenham.

By God’s grace, the Indonesian Christian Fellowship Centre was able to buy land and a building to be used as a place of worship. It is located at 24-26 Elaine Street, Regents Park. The church name was then changed to Indonesian Christ Family Church (ICFC). There were so many experiences with God at this place.  In June 2014, Ps. Herman Muljadi entered his retirement period and was replaced by Ps. Jhon & Ps. Herniwati Halim as the Senior Pastors of the Indonesian Christ Family Church to date. Along with all pastors & leaders, together they serve to fulfil the church’s vision and mission that God has given. As the church’s vision and mission state that ICFC will reach all nations, the church started a new chapter on its journey. On 16 October 2016, the name “Indonesian Christ Family Church (ICFC)” is changed to “Assembly Church” to open wide the door for all communities to enter and worship God together regardless of their background and nation.

On 15 June 2021, the Regents Park building was sold and again, by the grace of God, the church bought a property at 554 The Horsley Drive, Smithfield as a temporary place of worship until a new church building in Fairfield is ready.
